Around each square you will want to crochet a simple half double crochet border in your main color. Click the button below to be directed to my blog post which includes instructions, pictures, and videos on how to add this border.

There are many way to join crochet blanket squares. The method I used in this CAL is a simple slip stitch join. You can use this one, or a different one if you prefer.

In the tutorial, I have included an image to download and print to create a mock-up of your blanket before you join.

The last part of the CAL is a festive bobble border!

This reminds me of holly berries. A perfect addition to a holiday/winter afghan. As always, feel free to tweak the border and make it your own style.
